Santa Fe #1 City for Girls’ Getaway Trip
In 2014, a Readers Choice poll by USA Today found that Santa Fe is the number one destination for a girls’ getaway trip. Santa Fe topped other Top 10 winners, including Tuscany (Italy), Nashville (Tennessee), and Las Vegas (Nevada).
“To win as the top city for a girls’ getaway says there were a lot of happy women who vacationed in Santa Fe,” said Jim Luttjohann, Executive Director of the Santa Fe Convention & Visitors Bureau. “Now we look forward to hosting many more girls’ getaways in the future.”
“Staging a girls’ getaway in quaint Santa Fe means staying in historic adobe inns, browsing galleries along Canyon Road, shopping the boutiques and jewelry markets of the Plaza, museum-hopping (Georgia O’Keefe’s collection is there) and sampling the one-of-a-kind cuisine of New Mexico. In summer months, the Santa Fe Opera hosts outdoor performances and the Santa Fe International Folk Arts Market brings even more shopping fun.”
