Free Workshop for Job Seekers over 50 in Santa Fe

Santa Fe Community College will be hosting a free workshop on January 20, 2017, for Santa Fe residents over the age of 50 who are job hunting. The workshop, sponsored by the AARP Foundation, is part of the “BACK TO WORK 50+: Women’s Economic Stability Initiative.”

Santa Fe Community College describes the workshop as follows:

“An informative event on job search strategies and tools and information on how jobseekers can apply to get access to scholarships, job coaching, academic training, career retooling and employers – all free. Once enrolled in the program, participants learn how to update their personal marketing tools and networking strategies, target their job search on in-demand jobs, get job leads, manage finances, update computer skills and more while they’re looking for their next job.”

  • When: January 20, 2017. 10am-noon.
  • Where: Board Room 223 – Santa Fe Community College, 6401 Richards Ave.
  • What: Free job coaching, academic support and resources for job seekers age 50 or higher. The official name of the workshop is: “BACK TO WORK 50+: Women’s Economic Stability Initiative Smart Strategies for 50+ Job Seekers.”
  • Who: The workshop is for unemployed or underemployed workers aged 50+, in Northern New Mexico, wanting to get back on their feet or improve their current standing.
